Why audio or captions can be missing and how to fix it.
What to check
If a finished video has no voiceover or no captions:
- Re-render once. A transient voice-generation hiccup is the most common cause, and a fresh render usually fixes it. This doesn't cost extra credits if the original render is the one that came back broken - contact support if you're unsure whether that applies to your case.
- Check the language. A mismatched voice/language pair can fail silently - pick a voice that supports your language from the voice picker rather than typing a topic in one language while an incompatible voice is still selected from a previous video.
- Shorten the topic. Extremely long or ambiguous topics can produce a script too short to caption meaningfully - captions are generated from the actual voiceover audio, so no audio means no captions either, which is why these two symptoms usually show up together rather than separately.
Why this can happen at all
Voiceover and captions are two separate generation steps that run after the script and scenes are locked in: text-to-speech first, then captions burned in from that audio's own timing. A step failing partway through - rather than the whole render failing outright - is what produces a video that otherwise looks finished but is missing one piece.
