Data Deletion

You can delete your ShortLoom account and the data associated with it at any time. A few records stay, and they are named below. This page explains how, and what gets removed.

Delete your account yourself

The fastest way is the self-serve option in the app:

  1. Sign in at shortloom.ai/login.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Under Delete account, type DELETE to confirm and select Permanently delete.

This action is immediate and irreversible.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, generated videos and characters, your credit balance, API keys, and every connected social account - including the access tokens for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, which are erased from our systems. Generated media stored on our servers is removed as part of the same process.

The same action deletes the Stripe customer, which cancels an active subscription. Limited billing records can remain for the statutory tax and accounting period. The Privacy Policy states that limit, and two further records kept only to stop repeat free-credit claims: the sign-up IP address and a normalised form of the sign-up email. This applies to the button above and to an email request alike.

Disconnecting a single social account (without deleting your whole ShortLoom account) also deletes that platform’s stored tokens immediately. You can additionally revoke ShortLoom’s access from the platform itself - for example, Instagram/Facebook: Settings → Apps and Websites; TikTok: Settings → Security & Permissions → Manage app permissions.

Request deletion by email

If you can’t access your account, email support@shortloom.ai from the address associated with your account with the subject “Data deletion request”. We will verify your identity and delete your data within 30 days, with the same limits as above.
