# ShortLoom credits

As of 2026-09-13 (https://shortloom.ai/api/public/product-facts.json):

- A standard 30-second cinematic video costs **3 credits**.
- 4K and talking-avatar videos cost more (see product-facts.json `fourKCreditsPer30s` and `avatarCreditsPer30s`).
- Director Mode drafts are free. Credits are reserved when you approve.
- Failed renders are refunded automatically.
- Unused subscription credits roll over to the next month.
- Credit packs can be bought on a paid plan; pack credits do not expire.

Signup grant is **0**. The $1 / €1, 7-day trial grants 3 credits once = **one cinematic 30-second video**. 60-second, 90-second, avatar, UGC and 4K jobs cost more than the trial covers.
